ENOUGH
Enough.
It seems begrudging;
It almost sounds wanting;
Like, in reality, barely.
Like you can “just barely… “,
Because “you have enough.”
Enough time,
Enough energy,
Enough patience,
Enough love.
Enough, of enough!
ME?
I prefer plenty!
Plenty of experiences,
– of friends,
– of ways to contribute,
– of opportunities to learn,
A life of, “Plenty!”
Enough?
Not for me!

Poetry takes a lot of forms – images, words, ideas. Here I will share those I enjoy reading aloud.

MOTHER EARTH
Thoughts on Earth Day
Where see we beauty, and terror, and awe?
Mother Earth.
Where see we wonders, exquisite or raw?
Mother Earth.
How will we nurture, preserve what we see?
How will our children recall you, and me?
If we fail to protect and our barricades fall,
How will we answer, the loss of it all,
Mother Earth.
